CTO Lighting
Contemporary British lighting, defined by exceptional materials and craftsmanship.
Founded in 1998 by Chris and Clare Turner, CTO Lighting is a British luxury lighting brand recognised for its distinctive contemporary designs, refined material palette and commitment to British craftsmanship.
Combining architectural forms with the natural beauty of carefully selected materials, CTO Lighting creates sculptural luminaires that bring depth, character and atmosphere to sophisticated interiors. Every design reflects a considered balance of form, proportion, materiality and light.
A MATERIAL-LED APPROACH TO DESIGN
At the heart of CTO Lighting is a commitment to exceptional materials and meticulous craftsmanship. Hand-finished brass and bronze, mouth-blown glass and artisan-crafted stone, including alabaster and marble, give the collections their distinctive character.
Natural textures, subtle variations and carefully developed finishes create a rich interplay between light and material. Rather than serving solely as a source of illumination, each luminaire becomes an integral part of the interior, adding a sculptural presence and a warm, atmospheric glow.
BRITISH DESIGN AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
CTO Lighting combines contemporary design with the expertise of skilled British craftspeople. Its lighting is manufactured in England, with meticulous attention to detail, material quality and finish.
The result is a collection that feels both contemporary and enduring, designed to complement carefully considered interiors beyond short-lived trends.
DESIGN COLLABORATIONS AND PRESTIGIOUS PROJECTS
Over the years, CTO Lighting has collaborated with internationally recognised designers and studios, including David Collins Studio, Philippe Starck, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, Autoban, Michaël Verheyden and Stéphane Parmentier.
The brand's lighting has featured in prestigious hospitality and interior projects, including The Savoy, The Dorchester, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and Chiltern Firehouse in London.
These collaborations reflect CTO Lighting's ability to combine distinctive design with the material quality and craftsmanship demanded by considered residential and hospitality interiors.
